Conservative Party Press Release
Speaking on BBC News, Labour's Shadow Health Secretary John Healey refused five times to explain how Labour would modernise the NHS, stating that their opposition 'is party politics'.
Health Minister Simon Burns said:
'Empty rhetoric is all we should expect from Labour. Their policy on the NHS is to do nothing and spend less. In Wales, the one place Labour run the NHS, they are running it into the ground - their 11 per cent cuts tell you all you need to know.
'If Labour were serious about modernising the health service, they would stop putting cheap party politics before patient care.'
