Leveson's form

There's no love lost between the Sun and Lord Justice Brian Leveson.

Only in March, the paper memorably went for him and other judges for being 'soft' on crime, complete with a 'Off Their Heads' logo (above).

He appeared thus in its roll call of the bewigged namby pampy judiciary:

 

 

It's claimed that Brian Leveson is a Scouser too.

None of this will, naturally, affect his independent verdicts in the coming months. Good job he's not a 'hanging' judge.

 

UPDATE: A Government source tells me that Leveson actually turned down the original request to take on the job. I'm not sure on what grounds, but trying to find out...
