Lee Jasper, Boris and Breivik

Looks like Ken Livingstone's former police advisor Lee Jasper* had decided to use the Norwegian mass killings as an opportunity to have a pop at the old enemy.

Mr Jasper appears to have tweeted (as @LeeJasper) the missive below, suggesting that Breivik resembles a member of the Johnson clan:

Apart from the fact that they are both blond, I can't quite see the similarity and I'm not alone.

City Hall allies of the Mayor are certainly furious at the "sick" tweet, particularly the suggestion that Boris any way holds right wing extremist views or can be compared to a man who murdered scores of people.

"It's an unbelievable comment by one of Ken's cronies," says one.

I'm not sure that Jo Johnson MP, Boris's real younger brother, would take the comparision too kindly either.

Today's Twitter message comes on the heels of Ken Livingstone's own recent decision to compare Boris's deputy mayor Eddie Lister to wanted war criminal Ratko Mladic.

Clearly, political comparisons with mass killers are in vogue.

But it's a good job Mr Jasper has no role in the Livingstone re-election campaign...

FOOTNOTE: *It certainly looks like Lee Jasper's real Twitter account, rather than a fake. Either way, I'm trying to get hold of him for a comment.

Mr Jasper Tweeted a while back that he had done his time on the Livingstone "plantation" and had no intention of going back.

Be briefed for £1.50 a week...
