For Dimbleby to claim the editon was not about the BNP by throwing in a question on Gately after 50 minutes of attack was crass.
The audience booed, of course it was a lynch mob, but the Beeb has tried to justify to its left leaning board why he went on. They went way overboard and made the programme a farce.
Constructive argument on multiple issues was avoided as that would have humanised griffin who they wanted to portray as one issued and one dimensional.
