Statement from Hammersmith and Fulham Council on evicting rioters

Councillor Greg Smith, Cabinet Member for Crime at Hammersmith and Fulham Council, said: "We are absolutely determined that anyone who was engaged in the violence on Monday should no longer have the right to live in this borough.

"Council tenants are made aware of the clauses in their agreements when they move in so this should not come as a shock. It is a long, drawn-out process to get them out but it is worth it to get rid of people who terrorise our streets. We have already done it multiple times before."
