Has Gordon Brown been caught having a kick-a-boot with his kids near the family Christmas tree?
Last night Sarah Brown revealed how she returned home to find several guilty faces near a wrecked festive adornment. (Read the Tweets from bottom up, of course).

What made me suspect the former PM was not just his fondness for the beautiful game but also his wife's remark that 'everyone' looked a tad guilty.
You can see the before and after pix on her Twitter feed. It looks as if some major rehanging had to take place after the football incident.
UPDATE: I've just been told a lovely story about a time Gordon once opened a primary school building in Scotland. Visiting a class of six- and seven-year-olds, he asked a boy which team he supported. After much consideration, the boy barked back: "Not yours!"
Amid a bit of nervous laughter, Gordon moved on to the next child....
