Parliament Square open for business

Dot noticed a subtle but significant change on her travels around SW1 this morning. As this picture shows, the barriers around Parliament Square have finally been removed, allowing access to the grassy area. Last month police used their new powers under the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act to remove "all tents and sleeping equipment" after a decade of occupation by anti-war protesters. People have been using the square already. If you look closely at this picture you will see two snowmen just in front of the police van.
