Dot Commons

MPs on the move

MPs on the move

Tuesday mornings are always a busy time for committees, and today is no exception. Two of them are sitting away from Westminster - far, far away. The Welsh Affairs Committee are in Wales, Llandudno to be exact, 196 miles from London. They are hearing evidence on support for the armed forces. Meanwhile the International Development Committee are meeting in the EU Commission HQ in Brussels, 198 miles from Westminster. They will be quizzing the EU Commissioner for Development, Andris Piebalgs. Dot suspects members of both committees will not make it back to the Commons in time for Deputy Prime Minister's Questions this afternoon.
