Ed Balls may have lost the Labour leadership race, but he got a consolation in the form of a different title this morning.
The Shadow Chancellor made light of his Machiavellian reputation with a cheeky invite to Andrew Marr to come over for a spot of lasagne, prompting the big-eared Scot to dub him 'The lasagne king'.
Does Balls need any other title after that? Ed Miliband had better be hoping not anyway because otherwise it looks as if Balls is getting even more brazen with his invites:
“Pop round for lasagne and we’ll talk about it,” Balls said to Marr.
But will his coronation be the only power talk on the menu?
