Horrible Histories a hit with MPs

A group of MPs have highlighted the “delights” available on the BBC’s children’s channels, with Horrible Histories and In The Night Garden singled out for particular praise. An early day motion tabled by Labour MP John Mann notes the 10th anniversary of CBBC and CBeebies. It has been signed by nine other MPs so far, including Paul Flynn and Sir Peter Bottomley, both unlikely fans of Justin’s House, Blue Peter and Newsround. The EDM praises the “quality and range of the predominantly British-made programmes” and notes the “learning through play philosophy of CBeebies which has recently been crowned BAFTA's Children's Channel of the Year”.
