The Reshuffle Hoaxer

Now here's a curio.

This was sent out last night. I've checked with Number 10 and their IT guys say it is a hoax. There is no such email account. Still, someone went out of their way to make it all look plausible...

The one big drawback with this spoof is that, as any Lobby hack will tell you, Number 10 never, ever sends out emails about reshuffles before they happen.

PRIME MINISTER RESHUFFLE ANNOUNCEMENT 9:00AM 4/07/12

The Prime Minister will be releasing full details of the reshuffle which will include a change to one of the Great Offices of State. Two other key cabinet positions will be reshuffled and two backbenchers who haven’t previously held ministerial positions will be promoted.

No 10 will distribute the details of the changes tomorrow at 7:30AM with an embargo until 9:00AM.
