One of the UK's hottest bands will be in Parliament on Monday at the launch of the Rock The House competition 2013. Lucky MPs who have been invited by Rock The House supremo Mike Weatherley will get to meet Young Guns, who are rising stars of British rock. Also on hand will be Rob Damiani from Don Broco. Exciting. The competition, Parliament’s biggest with 165 entries in 2012, raises awareness of intellectual property rights and live music through a nationwide competition to find the best solo act, artist, venue and music video the UK has to offer. Two of last year's winners will perform at Monday's event, billed as the first 'gig' ever to be held in the Speaker's State Rooms. Michael Martin playing his bagpipes doesn't count.
