Binning the green agenda

Binning the green agenda

Tory MP Brian Binley has a few requests for the Chancellor's Autumn Statement:

“I’d love to hear him announce that the Government will be gathering up its Green Energy policies, chucking them in the nearest skip and setting light to them in an enormous bonfire.”

“It would be worth it just to see Ed Davey’s face”, Binley wrote on his blog Northampton Matters, adding:

“We’re not really saving the planet at all – all we’re really doing is charging taxpayers to blight the British countryside with those hideous windmills!”

And he didn’t seem to appreciate the Lib Dems giving the Conservatives a majority, either:

“It’s a sad state of affairs when a minority pressure group like the Liberal Democrats is allowed to drown out the voice of the nation.”

Will Osborne throw David Cameron’s “greenest government ever” pledge in the [Brian] Bin[ley]? We’ll find out next Wednesday.
