Perhaps the highlight of Nick Clegg's first LBC phone-in was the revelation that he was given a onesie in Sheffield - but hasn't worn it yet.

Cleggy told listeners:

"I was actually given a big green onesie in Sheffield, but I haven’t worn it yet."

 "It would almost certainly be something I’d do in the privacy of my own home."

In honour of this occasion, Dot has simulated what the DPM might look like in his 'big green onesie':

UPDATE: Clegg confirmed at the Press Gallery lunch today that he had held the item close to his person: "I did take it out of the packet... I have held it against my person. But I've not worn it... and won't in public" He denied there was any 'conspiracy' in the fact that the question came from a Liberal Democrat youth activist.
