The Respect MP has tabled an EDM, which has been signed by Tory Philip Davies and Labour's Alan Meale, setting out the case for York Minster to be chosen as the 15th century monarch's final resting place. According to the motion, Richard had planned to be buried in a chatry he planned for the Minster. Chris Skimore, the MP and historian of the Tudor period, has said that while Leicester Cathedral has been chosen as the king’s burial place, he could lie in state in York. Is George Galloway willing to compromise?
