A Conservative MP has called for the Government's online gay marriage consultation to be scrapped because it is "wide open to abuse" from interest groups. In a letter to the Equalities Minister Lynne Featherstone, Julian Brazier said the online consultation "lacks even the most rudimentary of safeguards" to prevent it being hijacked.
