Lord Oakeshott wants tax on bonuses

A new tax on bonuses should be given to banks, Liberal Democrat Treasury spokesman Lord Oakeshott has said after the chairman of the Royal Bank of Scotland admitted regulation was the only way to restrain the annual bonuses for bankers.

There is no such thing as a good or workable bonus. The whole principle is bad. Some of the best research done over the last twenty years both here and the USA shows this. So, stop looking for ways to ameliorate - get rid!
