David Cameron has said that he wanted to create a “Britain that believes in itself”. He said that the Big Society had a key role in restoring confidence that has been lost through recent political and media scandals.
Mr Cameron admitted that people’s confidence in the country had been “shaken to the core in recent years” as scandals and the rise of Asian powers led people to believe “our best days as a country are behind us”.
The Prime Minister made the comments in a Q&A as part of special edition of the Big Issue, which he guest edited.
