Labour to integrate more closely with unions

Labour to integrate more closely with unions
Labour plans to integrate more closely with the unions at a local and national level, according to a document on the future of the party. The proposal appears to contradict reports yesterday that Ed Miliband plans to weaken Labour’s ties to the unions, despite having relied on their votes for his successful leadership bid.

Mr Miliband also faces potential embarrassment as one of his largest party donors, Andrew Rosenfeld, has been revealed by the Daily Mail as a tax exile. Though the Labour leader has repeatedly argued against tax exiles, Mr Rosenfeld gave £1m to the Labour party after failing to secure the post of Conservative party treasurer.
