Cameron: I have what it takes

Cameron: I have what it takes
David Cameron will address his party's spring conference in Brighton later today. He's expected to tell the party that he will not shrink from the task of modernising the Tories, and that it is his "patriotic duty" to beat Labour.

Oh Dear Oh Dear, Cameron has finally flipped. It is not for him to tell us he is our Saviour - it is for the voters to decide. Another Blair-like god-complex, I fear. Yes, I HATE BROWN, but Cameron is no Moses either.

Wheres the beef?

Simon Castle

David Cameron doesn't understand he has to have some policies - he is treating the electorate like idiots. What is he actually going to do? This is not going to stop the slide in the polls.

Leofric

I keep hearing that Conservatives have no policies , yet when I go to their web site and look at their policies there are loads of them.

I particularly like the moves towards direct democracy by allowing voters to petition parliament to hold debates and votes on a subject of the voters choice ,and  the public reading stages for Bill (allow direct voter oversight of proposed laws) and a  stronger set of rules and laws on political lobbying in parliament, and not to leave out a the right of Recall (voters able to sack their sitting MP). Certainly they could go even further in this area , but these are new ideas for our democracy and we should see how they work out first.

Don't expect the media to inform you of political parties policies , if the policy does not fit into a 30 sec sound bite you will not hear about it.

Russell

Well said Leofric... I suspect the other posters are full paid up members of the Bully party.
