The BBC director general Mark Thompson is due to meet with trade union leaders today over plans to close two of its radio stations and reign in spending on its website, resulting in the potential loss of 600 jobs.

Something is very wrong in a country where Media own by its people needs defending itself from a FOREIGN MEDIA EMPIRE. The Asian Network gone is good news, as well as more money for home productions and cuts on american products
