Obama: Martin death a tragedy
Barack Obama has described the death of Trayvon Martin, an unarmed teenager shot in Florida, as a “tragedy” and vowed to "get to the bottom" of what happened.
“Every parent in America should be able to understand why it is absolutely imperative that we investigate every aspect of this and that everyone pulls together, federal, state, and local, to figure out exactly how this tragedy happened.”
The US President added: "If I had a son he would look like Trayvon." George Zimmerman, who shot the teenager, has not been arrested as he claimed self-defence.
