Dominique Strauss-Kahn, former head of the International Monetary Fund, has claimed the sex scandal that ended his bid for the French presidency last year was "shaped by those with a political agenda". Mr Strauss-Kahn alleged operatives linked to Nicolas Sarkozy's UMP party were involved in the story's escalation.
