Lord Browne: Flexibility needed on civil service pay

Lord Browne, government adviser and former BP chief executive, has said that “constraints” on civil service pay are making it difficult to recruit top talent.

His comments, made in his second annual report as the Government’s leading non-executive director, follow the Cabinet Office announcement that the worst-performing civil servants face the sack.
