Social care levy could be set at 10%

The government's proposed levy to fund the establishment of a National Care Service could be sourced out of 10% of an estate's value for those receiving care, Health Secretary Andy Burnham has said.

He can levy what he likes I'll not pay one penny, I've worked for what I've got with no help off anyone, and it's not my place to provide for those who don't provide for themselves. I'll spend the profits off my house well before I pop my clogs there'll be nothing left for them to steal off me. What about those who don't have estates to leave? Have we to fund them for free? Another mad idea from this inept government, do they really believe people will be made to pay this levy, they'll leave the country or spend what they have well before they die, I will make no mistake they can stuff the idea they'll not have a penny.
