Foreign Office launches anti-rape team

The Foreign Office is launching a new team to help tackle sexual violence in war zones across the world. A team of experts will be available for deployment at short notice to collect evidence of mass rape in conflicts such as the Syrian struggle. Announcing the scheme, William Hague will say: "Sexual violence is an issue which is central to conflict prevention and to peace building worldwide. Where there is no justice, the seeds of future conflict are sown, and development is held back."
