Jubilee celebrations begin
MPs are set to pay their own tribute to the Queen by renaming the tower housing Big Ben the Queen Elizabeth Tower, as the Diamond Jubilee celebrations kick off today.

The Daily Mail reports that over half of MPs, including the leaders of the three main parties, support the move and it could be formally agreed in the next month.

The Queen herself has arrived at Epson to watch the Derby today as four days of events begin to mark the 60th anniversary of her reign.
