Pickles' to remove council executive payoffs
Local Government Secretary Eric Pickles has revealed plans to remove employment protection for senior local council executives to end six-figure taxpayer-funded payoffs.

Writing in the Daily Telegraph, Mr Pickles said “Watching incompetent bureaucratic barons bouncing from one post to another with only a nice payoff to cushion their fall has been a source of immense frustration."
