Police warned on PCC elections
Chief constables have been barred from telling the public that a low voter turnout in the Police and Crime Commissioner elections might make policing more difficult.

The British tradition of policing by consent could be threatened if not enough people vote for the PCCs, some officers fear.

But they have been banned from the Home Office from taking part in the debate with threats of prosecution.
