PM to turn 400 schools into academies
David Cameron is to announce plans to turn around 400 of the UK’s weakest primary schools by turning them into “sponsor academies”. The schools will become parts of private chains of schools, in a bid to turn around their fortunes. The Prime Minister is expected to say today he wants to go “go further, faster” with the academy programme.
