Government hints at fuel duty freeze
The Government has defeated Labour's Commons motion calling for the delay of a planned increase in fuel duty, but has hinted it may freeze the tax anyway.

Shadow Treasury Minister Cathy Jamieson said "nods and winks" from the Chancellor on the issue were not enough, but MPs backed a government amendment praising ministers for taking action to "help with the cost of living".

Treasury Minister Sajid Javid accused Labour of being "all over the place" on fuel duty.
