PM defends banks and arms trade
David Cameron used his annual Mansion House speech to defend Britain’s banking sector. The Prime Minister was speaking after John Vickers, head of the Independent Commission on Banking said that if ring-fencing banks’ retail arms from their investment divisions fails then total separation could be an option.

In his speech, Mr Cameron also defended the British arms trade, suggesting over 300,000 jobs depended on the UK defence industry.
