Davey warns of energy rigging fines
Energy companies will face severe fines if they are proved to have acted in concert to distort gas market prices, the Energy Secretary has said.

Ed Davey promised the Government would "support the regulators taking whatever steps necessary to ensure the full force of the law is applied".

The Financial Services Authority and Ofgem have both launched investigations after alleged price manipulation was highlighted by a whistleblower.
