MPs call for PM to boycott Sri Lanka meeting
MPs have called on David Cameron to boycott a meeting of Commonwealth leaders which is due to take place in Sri Lanka next year due to concerns about the regime’s human rights record. In a report published this morning, the Foreign Affairs Select Committee says the Prime Minister should not attend unless there is evidence of “substantial and sustainable improvements in human and political rights” in the country.
