CBI urges £1.5bn construction boost
The Coalition should commit £1.5bn to drive forward major 'shovel ready' construction projects and boost the economy, the CBI has said. The business organisation urged the Treasury to introduce tax breaks and business rate reductions across the construction industry to boost jobs and investment. "We need an industrial Olympics, with big schemes which can make a real difference," CBI director general John Cridland said.
