PCC candidate faces racism probe
Conservative PCC candidate and former Cabinet minister Michael Mates is under investigation for allegedly using racist language on a Home Office election website designed to help voters choose their candidate. Mr Mates, the Tory candidate in Hampshire, is accused of breaching equality laws by referring to "problems created by gypsies and travellers" on the website.
