Egyptian judges have gone on strike in protest against a decree giving President Mursi sweeping powers.
Opponents of President Mursi have also set up camp in Cairo's Tahrir square to protest against a decree which would stop the courts overturning new laws.
Judges in the coastal city of Alexandria have said they will not resume work until the measures are reversed.
