Number 10 'considering options' on press
Number 10 has said it is not ruling out a royal charter in relation to press regulation, confirming that they are considering a "range of options".
A Downing Street spokesperson said the Department for Culture Media and Sport expects some further information from the press "in the next week or so".

In a lecture in Sydney, the judge who ran the inquiry into media ethics warned against “mob rule” online and “trial by Twitter”.
He added it would "take time to civilise the internet" but said new laws could protect privacy and freedom of expression.
