Hamas leader visits Gaza
The leader of Hamas is making a historic visit to the Gaza strip today, after spending 45 years in exile.
Khaled Meshaal is thought to be displaying a new found confidence following the region's conflict with Israel last month.
Talking to journalists, he described his visit as his "third birth".
"I swear to God this moment is my third birth, my first birth was in 57 when I was born, the second birth when God decreed that I had a new life after the attempt by this idiot Netanyahu, but God’s will is stronger than him," he told a press conference.
"As of this moment today, 7th of December 2012, this moment I consider it as my third birth and I pray to God our fourth birth will be when the whole of Palestine is liberated."
