Queen questions BoE on banking crisis
The Queen has asked Bank of England officials whether the financial crisis was partly caused by "complacency".

She queried whether the Financial Services Authority "did not have the teeth" to sort out the banking disaster during a visit to the Bank.

An official assured her that the banking sector had experienced an overhaul following the 2008 financial collapse.

The Queen famously asked academics at the London School of Economics four years ago: "Why did nobody notice it?"
