'No mandate' for same-sex marriage plans
Almost 60 MPs and peers have signed an open letter accusing the Coalition of seeking to redefine marriage without a mandate.

In a letter to the Daily Telegraph, the cross-party alliance, including 35 Conservative MPs, claim ministers are "ignoring the overwhelming public response" to their plans on same-sex marriage.

Meanwhile, Pink News has learned that two prominent Labour MPs are threatening to resign if their party's vote on gay marriage is whipped.
