Terror suspect extradited

Terror suspect extradited
A British-based terror suspect accused of plotting bomb attacks in Manchester has been extradited to the United States after UK authorities said there was inadequate evidence to bring a prosecution.

Abid Naseer, who is also suspected of planning attacks on Norway and the US, was described by a High Court judge as a “al-Qaeda operative” and a “serious threat to national security”.

Mr Naseer had appealed to the European Court of Human Rights to stop the extradition, but the case was dismissed last month.
