British soldier dies in Afghanistan
A British soldier has been killed in Afghanistan after an attack by a member of the Afghan National Army, the Ministry of Defence has announced.

The soldier's family has been informed.

Afghan President Hamid Karzai is due to arrive in the US later today for a three-day visit which will include talks with Barack Obama.

The White House said the US President was looking forward to talking about the “shared vision of an enduring partnership” between the two countries.
