Britons told to leave Benghazi
British nationals have been urged to leave the Libyan city of Benghazi immediately in response to "a specific threat to Westerners".

Defence sources have confirmed to the Independent that the threat is linked to al Qaeda activities in the region.

Foreign Office minister David Lidington told the BBC there were "credible, serious and specific reports" about a possible terrorist threat in the city.
