DWP causing 'misery and hardship'
A key group of MPs has hit out at the Department for Work and Pensions over assessing benefit claimants' fitness to work.

The Public Accounts Committee said "poor decision-making" and a lack of "rigour" in dealing with contractor Atos had contributed to problems with the Work Capability Assessment (WCA).

But Employment Minister Mark Hoban insisted "considerable improvements" had been made to the WCA since the Coalition came into power.
