Peers set to oppose same-sex marriage
Over half of Tory peers will oppose the Coalition's same-sex marriage legislation, threatening David Cameron's aim for the first ceremonies to be held in 2014. There are also reports that peers plan to table hundreds of amendments in a bid to delay the law, which MPs passed this week. Business Minister Michael Fallon, who voted against the bill, said there should have been "much wider" consultation ahead of the vote.
