No verdict in Pryce trial

No verdict in Pryce trial
The jury in the trial of Chris Huhne's former wife Vicky Pryce has been discharged without reaching a verdict.

Ms Pryce is now facing a retrial which will take place on Monday. She denies perverting the course of justice by taking the former Lib Dem MP's speeding points in 2003.

The jury at Southwark Crown Court had been deliberating for several days and was discharged this afternoon after telling trial judge Mr Justice Sweeney it was "highly unlikely" that even a majority verdict would be reached.

Mr Huhne’s sentencing after pleading guilty to the same charge has also been delayed until after the retrial.
