As a YouGov member I am alarmed by certain discrepancies regularly occuring with political polls announced by the organisation. There have been numerous occasions when results have announced swings to the Conservative Party, yet as a regular voter/panel member I have not been requested to participate. This would suggest a certain amount of pre-selection of participants in such polls and therefore a possible bias being created. In an unrelated matter I note that one of the co-founders of YouGov is standing as a Conservative candidate; and further unrelated that the YouGov organisation has signed a contract to perform surveys for the Murdoch organisations BSkyB and Sun/News of the World newspapers.
