Brown campaigns after 'bigot' row

Brown campaigns after 'bigot' row
Gordon Brown is focusing on the economy this morning, as he attempts to draw a line under the "bigot" row. He told factory workers in Halesowen: "Yesterday was yesterday, today I want to talk about the future of the economy." Alan Johnson spearheaded Labour's defence of Mr Brown this morning, saying that some elements of the media try to portray the prime minister as a "monster" but that this is "completely wrong". The other party leaders have remained relatively silent on the issue. David Cameron and Nick Clegg are both campaigning in Birmingham. The three leaders will face off tonight in the final leaders' debate.
