New PoliticsHome research reveals that Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg receives a higher approval rating from the public than prime minister David Cameron. Clegg enjoys a clear popularity gap ahead of the Prime Minister, holding an approval rating of 17, compared to the Cameron's rating of 11.

@Graeme - You doubt the ability of people to report their own opinions? These all sound about right. What I wonder is where the polling of the Labour candidates and Gideon Osbourne it? And Danny Alexander, for that matter.
